Better Metacritic RSS feeds

So I think Metacritic’s game reviews are a great idea, but their RSS feeds only have the title of the game, and a very short sentence. That’s a not great, but the bigger problem is that they publish games to their RSS feed immediately, but don’t score games until there are at least 5 reviews.

To work around that, I’ve put together Atom feeds that you can use instead of the official feeds, which include the short blurb that Metacritic provides, but most importantly these feeds don’t publish review information until there is a critic score associated with the game.

    Hi Clayton,

    First off, Great job on putting together these feeds for the Games on Metacritic. Could you PLEASE PLEASE put together the same feeds for their FILM section where they list all their movies (recent movies, as well as DVDs) ALONG with their metacritic scores?? I really like the format you have used in your feeds (i.e. Scores, Title, Date, and a detailed blurb about the review)

    Doing the Film section is probably pretty doable. Unfortunately this seems to be broken right now, because Metacritic has just stopped updating their RSS feeds. I’ve got some code in progress to work around this, but I’ve been pretty slammed at work and haven’t had time to finish it up and move it in place.

    Did you ever get a chance to look at providing the MetaCritic RSS feeds? I left you a comment on June 9, 2009 above. So, I was just checking to see if you can create a similar RSS script on feedburners for the movie/dvd section for MetaCritic with critic’s scores??

    Is it possible to combine all 6 feeds into a single feed? Can anyone give me a hint as to what I’d have to modify in order to do that?
